Dr. Sylvia Opanga, a senior lecturer at the School of Pharmacy made a presentation during the University of Nairobi (UoN) College of Health Sciences (CHS) COVID-19 Research Forum.
Dr. Opanga made the presentation titled: Potential paucity and price increases for medicines and protection equipment for COVID-19 across developing countries with a particular focus on Africa and the implications
The session was held virtually on Tuesday 4th August, 2020.
In her presentation Dr. Opanga gave the findings she and other scholars had found during the study.
Part of the research findings was the increased uptake of antibiotics and antimalarials in Africa and Asia due to COVID-19 pandemic.
