Prof. George O. Osanjo (Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences) on Thursday, February 13, 2025, met with Dr. Ita Duron (Executive Director of Global Strategies & Collaborations, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences). In attendance were Dr. Eric Guantai (Chairman, Dept. of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice) and Prof. Kennedy Abuga (Chairman, Dept.

Prof Oluka and Dr Martha Mandale of the  Pharmacy and Poisons' Board (PPB) together with the current Bpharm V class. 

This was after a very interactive lecture on Principles of Pharmacovigilance delivered by Dr Mandale  as part of collaborative activities between the School of Pharmacy and PPB.

The Dean Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. George Osanjo held talks with Prof. Olayinka Ogunleye from the Lagos State University College of Medicine.

The talks revolved around establishing a good collaboration between students from the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Health Sciences and students from Lagos state university of medicine who are pursuing pharmacy in order to interact and share knowledge that flows from the corridors of the department of pharmacy.

At the Student Recognition Ceremony, 610 students were recognised for their continued exemplary performance in various categoriesThe ceremony was held at Taifa Hall, Main Campus, University of Nairobi on 3rd May 2024. The Department of Pharmacy congratulates them.

The Head of the Department of Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice - Dr. Eric Guantai and The Dean for Faculty of Health Sciences - Prof. Osanjo attended the ceremony. 

Department of Pharmacology,clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice staff underwent through Records Management on 24th April 2024. The training was facilitated by the Records Manager, Office of the Registrar Administration

NUPSA annually holds at least one Corporate Social Responsibility Event aimed to positively impact the community. This year in collaboration with Mazingira Movement, Kibra Sub-County Environment Office, and the Green Army, we decided to organize an Environment Cleanup in Laini Saba Market.

The Department of Pharmacology,Pharmacautics and clinical Pharmacy, University of Nairobi congratulates Prof. David Nyamu, Prof. KA Sinei and Prof. Sylvia Opanga on their promotion to the position of Associate Professors. 

The University of Nairobi on Friday, December 15, 2023 held its 70th graduation. Among the over 5,700 graduands was Mr. Kelvin Waweru, the valedictorian of the ceremony.

Kelvin, a Bachelor of Pharmacy student, was overjoyed by his and his fellow graduands’ achievement.

“I am honoured to address such an outstanding group of people here today,” Kelvin begun.

Kelvin also thanked the lecturers who played a vital role in ensuring that the graduands attained their degrees and skillful training.

White Coat Ceremony is a rite of passage, welcoming new students into the profession. These ceremonies provide a
platform for senior professionals to reiterate to the students the commitment that they, as student pharmacists, are
making both to becoming and staying proficient in science and also to the human obligations of being a pharmacist.
The justification of this ceremony is based on goodwill felt by participants and an assumed connection between the
ceremony and promoting humanistic values in pharmacy practice.
