Prof Margaret Oluka hosted a guest Lecturer from the Industry, Dr Eva Allela, who is the Head of Medical at
L’Oreal East Africa.
Dr Allela had a 2 hour interactive session with the Bpharm V, final Year students focusing on ACNE and ATOPIC DERMATITIS, which are some of the most common skin conditions locally.
The session consisted of a Lecture, Discussion and Question and Answer forum.
Dr Allela delved into how the use of dermocosmetics along side conventional therapy of acne and atopic dermatitis is enhancing therapy outcomes!!
The students rated the session very highly and expressed the need for a meeting in the near future focusing on career opportunities in Dermotology and Dermocosmetology
