On Saturday 24th September 2022 from 8 am to 5 pm EAT, Nairobi University Pharmacy Students Association (NUPSA) and other pharmacy students' association from different universities in the country convened at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) - College of Health Sciences to participate in an educational and scientific conference to commemorate the World Pharmacists Day, an annual event organized in partnership with the Pharmacy Students Association of Kenya (KEPhSA) and sponsored by the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK). The theme of this year’s commemoration was ‘Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world’ and it aimed at showcasing pharmacy’s positive impact on health around the world and to further strengthen solidarity among the profession. This annual event anchors on the demonstrated value that pharmacists continue to deliver in the health sector. It is a day that highlights their important responsibility to directly serve, not only the medical profession, but patients and the wider public. As students and subsequently soon-to-be pharmacists, this event serves as highly educative and contributes extensively to the professional development and career mentorship for our members.
