DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACY STAFF AMONG TOP PERFORMERS AT PC AND STAFF RECOGNITION AWARD CEREMONY

Chairman Department of Pharmacy with the awardees of the University of Nairobi (UON) Performance Contracting and Staff Recognition Awards FY 2020/2021 Ceremony.

The event which was held at Taifa Hall on March 23, 2022 was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama.

Two researchers from the Department of Pharmacy were awarded for their registered inventions in the research and innovation awards category, they include;  Dr. Sylvia Atiso Opanga and Dr. Shital Maru.

Mrs Rahab Munenge received an award for her long service of 44 years.

Ph.D Defense by Ermias Terefe

Ermias Mergia Terefe a PhD student at the University of Nairobi (UoN) Department of Pharmacology defended his thesis successfully on May 30, 2022. 

The title of his Ph.D work was "In vitro and in silico pharmacological evaluation of antiretroviral activity of Croton species".

His Supervisors were Prof. Faith A. Okalebo, Prof. Solomon Derese and  Dr. Joseph Muriuki.

Congratulations Dr. Ermias for completing your Ph.D in Molecular Pharmacology.
