UON MARKS 62ND GRADUATION AS 8,428 GRADUATE

he University of Nairobi (UoN) held its 62nd graduation on 20th December, 2019.

The graduation ceremony was led by the Chancellor Dr. Vijoo Rattansi.

Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Mbeche presented a total of 8,428 graduands,  one graduand for a higher Doctorate degree, 56 for Doctor of Philosophy degree, 27 for Fellowships awards, 2,130 for Masters degree, 5,413 for Bachelors degree, and 54 for Postgraduate Diplomas.

Prof. Mbeche congratulated the graduands for a job well done. 

FINALISTS CAREER INDUCTION SEMINAR 2019

A career induction training seminar was organized for the 2019 graduating class on Monday 7th October 2019.

 

The training was high-voltage involving speakers from several areas of Pharmacy practice who have been successful in their careers offering guidance to the students on how best they can be prepared for the job market.

 

This included speakers from The Mater Hospital, PSK, PPB, the Ministry of Health and other private players like Novartis, Dawa Limited and Loreal Cosmetics.

 

Prof. Jaoko honoured for role in fight against HIV/AIDS

Prof. Walter Jaoko, Director KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research was one of the ten individuals who were honoured at the Ten out of Ten (1O/10) Awards held at the House of Lords in the Palace of Westminster, London on 9th September, 2019.

The Ten out of Ten Awards aims at facilitating an important conversation about the intersection that must converge in order to meet the UN targets of globally ending all new HIV diagnosis by 2030.

HIPPOCRATIC OATH BY GRADUATES FROM THE SCHOOL OF DENTAL SCIENCES CLASS 2017

The School of Dental Sciences held its Hippocratic Oath ceremony for the graduates of class 2017 on Friday 17th November 2017 at the School of Dental Sciences.

The oath was administered by Dr. Regina J. Mutave – Dean School of Dental Sciences, to the (20) Bachelor of Dental Surgery students who qualified for the award of Degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery by the University of Nairobi.
